The Box
"Wake up, Kelsea!" said Mum.She got up and got dressed for school. Her dress was as blue as a bluebell.
When she arrived at school she did some gardening. She dug a hole as deep as the sea... with a shovel, of course. Suddenly she hit something metallic. She said in a puzzled voice,"What is this?" She didn't show her teacher. She just put it in her school bag and took it home with her.
Kelsea went into her room and played her drums for a while and then she tried to open the box, but it didn't budge. Then she saw a keyhole. She thought to herself, "Why didn't I find a key with it?" The box was as red as blood.
Kelsea went back to school with a shovel on the weekend and started to dig a deep hole. At the end of the hole she saw something glowing as bright as the sun. She pulled and it came out.
Kelsea took it home and stuck it in the keyhole. The box opened. It was bright as the moon. When the bright light faded away she looked inside and wondered what it was. She looked again and saw that it was a book about Egypt and the Egyptians. Kelsea giggled, "This was a good find". She sat down and read it and then buried it for someone else to find.
